TONY
Male | Age: 20s | Vocal Range: Tenor

A romantic young man and former leader of the Jets, he has found a new lifestyle. Tony finds himself violently torn between his friendships and love. Genuinely sweet and sincere.

RIFF
Male | Age: 20s | Vocal Range: Baritone

A spritely, quick-tempered leader. He seeks to eliminate the Sharks and establish his own gang's dominance. Tony's best friend.

BERNARDO
Male | Age: 20s | Vocal Range: Tenor

A proud, strong, handsome Puerto Rican man. He seeks to carve out territory as a sense of identity for himself and his friends. Maria's brother and Anita's boyfriend. Leader of the Sharks.

CHINO
Male | Age: 20s | Vocal Range: Spoken

An angry and, at times, naive Shark who turns murderous and vengeful. Suitor to Maria and friend of Bernardo's.

WEST SIDE STORY
Round 2 - Male Roles
Tuesday, April 7, 2015
Beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Way Off Broadway


Those auditioning are asked to bring a headshot and resume, as well as 16 bars of prepared music and be ready to sing, read from the script, and dance.  All roles are open and non-union paying.  Those auditioning should be at least 18 years old.  No appointments are necessary.  An accompanist will be provided. 


West Side Story will run June 12 - August 29, with performances every Friday and Saturday evening and matinees on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of each month.

Rehearsals are usually held 2 - 3 times a week (Sunday afternoon/evening - Thursday evening). Beginning Sunday, June 7th, rehearsals will be every day leading up to Opening Night.

The show will run June 12 - August 29, with performances every Friday and Saturday evening, and matinees on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of each month.

Way Off Broadway's production will be directed by Bill Kiska, with choreography by Dee Buchanan and musical direction by Jordan Stocksdale. To learn more about the show, just click here.
