SUNSET BOULEVARD

Beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Way Off Broadway


Those auditioning are asked to bring a headshot and resume, as well as 16 bars of prepared music and be ready to sing and read from the script.  All roles are open and non-union paying.  Those auditioning should be at least 18 years old.  No appointments are necessary.  An accompanist will be provided. 

Sunset Boulevard will run from September 6 - November 9, 2013 with performances every Friday and Saturday evening and matinees on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of each month.

Rehearsals will begin in late June or early July and are usually held 2 to 4 times a week (Sunday afternoon/evenings, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday evenings).  Beginning Sunday, September 1st, rehearsals will be held every day leading up to Opening Night.

SHOW INFORMATION
Sunset Boulevard weaves a magnificent tale of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition as silent movie star Norma Desmond longs for a return to the big screen. Having been discarded by Tinsel Town with the advent of “talkies,” her glamour has faded in all but her own mind. When she meets struggling Hollywood screen-writer Joe Gillis through dramatic circumstances, their subsequent passionate and volatile relationship leads to an unforeseen and tragic conclusion.
