GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS
January 26 - April 5, 2008

Way Off Broadway's delightful story of the little girl with the golden curls returns to the Children's Theatre to open the 2008 Season.  While camping in the woods, Goldilocks pays a visit to the cottage of the Three Bears.  But in WOB's story, Goldilocks isn't the Bears' only visitor - a number of traveling salesmen try to peddle all kinds of products to the good-natured Bears in this fun family musical.

 

 

 

 

 

 

SLEEPING BEAUTY
April 12 - June 28, 2008

This classic musical tale tells the story of the Princess who is enchanted by an evil fairy so that on her 16th birthday she pricks her finger on a spindle and falls into a deep sleep.  Three good fairies join to become one hilarious fairy to help watch over Sleeping Beauty and help the Prince rescue her.  The audience helps to make the years pass and the evil fairy's spell is broken at the end.

JACK AND THE BEANSTALK
September 13 - November 9, 2008

In this production, Way Off Broadway tells the story of the happy-go-lucky boy named Jack who sells his cow to a slick con-man for magic beans that grow into a beanstalk which reaches to an enchanted land in the clouds.  Jack’s exciting musical adventure continues when he climbs the beanstalk and meets a jolly, songwriting giant and his temperamental wife.  Along the way, Jack befriends a singing harp and talking hen that lays golden eggs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A FURRY CHRISTMAS CAROL
November 15, 2008 - January 11, 2009

In this musical adaptation, animals tell the story of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol.  Ebenezer Scrooge is a rat, the Cratchetts are rabbits, Fezziwig is a duck, and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future are cats.  Laughter is abundant as the story unfolds, told and sung by furry and feathered characters.
